Who is eligible to participate in the GM Supplier Discount program?

Active hourly and salaried (full- and part-time) employees of eligible GM suppliers and business associates (e.g., fleet and commercial customers), not including contract employees. Please note: To qualify for this program, you must be a resident of the United States. To determine if your company is eligible, please contact your HR department.

Which GM vehicles are eligible?

Almost every new and unused 2007, 2008 and 2009 GM passenger car, SUV, crossover, van and light-duty truck is eligible. To see a list of excluded vehicles, go to the “Get Answers” tab on the gmsupplierdiscount.com home page and select What Vehicles Are Eligible. Some other models may have limited availability. Eligibility of GM vehicles may change at any time without notice.

What is the vehicle discount?

As an eligible GM supplier, you can purchase vehicles at a special discounted price that is less than MSRP.

How many vehicles am I eligible to purchase/lease?

You may purchase/lease up to two eligible new and unused vehicles per calendar year.

Can I receive this discount from any GM Dealer?

This program is available through all participating U.S. GM Dealers and is voluntary on the part of the dealers. Dealer participation is on a vehicle line basis. Please inform your dealer of your intention to use the GM Supplier Discount during your first contact with your dealer. If your dealer elects not to participate, you may visit another GM Dealer.

How do I get the GM Supplier Discount?

It's simpler than ever. Obtain your Company Code and visit the home page to request your personal Authorization Number. After logging in, select "GM Supplier Discount" from the left navigation bar, then choose "Obtain Authorization" and follow the prompts. Take your personal Authorization Number to a participating GM Dealer and receive your vehicle discount.

Can I combine this discount with current incentives?

In most cases. Visit your dealer for details on eligible incentives, or see current incentives on this site to see how the values add up.

Can I order a vehicle through this program, rather than choosing one from my GM Dealer's inventory?

Yes, you can receive the discount when you order through a participating GM Dealer.

How do I get the GM Extended Family Card?

Simply go to www.gmextendedfamily.com and click on "Apply Now." While you're there, check out GM's great lineup of vehicles and pick the one you'll be earning toward.

What's the difference between the GM Extended Family Card and the GM Flexible Earnings Card?

The GM Extended Family Card was created for members of the GM family who are eligible for the GM Supplier Vehicle Purchase program discount. It offers a full 1% Earnings on all credit card purchases, which can be combined with your GM discount for even greater savings. GM Extended Family Card Earnings can be redeemed toward any eligible vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, HUMMER, Saab and Cadillac. With the GM Extended Family Card, you also have the option to receive your Earnings as cash, in increments of $50, if you decide you are not in the market for a new vehicle.
With the GM Flexible Earnings Card, you get 3% Earnings toward an eligible, new GM vehicle from Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Saturn, HUMMER and Cadillac. Or you can opt to receive 1% Earnings toward any other new vehicle of your choice ($100 minimum) or get 1% cash back in $100 increments. There is no annual limit on how much you can earn but there are Redemption Allowances that vary by vehicle and model year. Visit www.gmflexcard.com for details. Earnings from the GM Flexible Earnings Card can not be combined with your GM Supplier Vehicle Purchase program discount.

Do I have to purchase or lease through GMAC?

No. You can purchase or lease through any financial institution.

Are dealer-installed options covered by this discount (e.g., theft-deterrent devices, etc.)?

No. Any additional dealer-installed options, conversion/upfit packages, General Motors Protection Plans and other extra-charge items will be supplied at a price agreed upon between the customer and the dealer.

Does the purchase/lease require a down payment?

Your dealership will be able to provide details on the down payment of your chosen vehicle.

How long do I have to keep the vehicle to qualify for the GM Supplier Discount?

The vehicle must be retained for a minimum of six (6) months if purchased or leased, except Chevrolet Corvette (excluding Z06, which is not eligible), which has a required retention period of two (2) years from the vehicle delivery date.

I recently bought/leased a new GM vehicle. Can I still apply for the GM Supplier Discount?

No. Previous purchases/leases are not eligible.

As an eligible participant, can I title a vehicle in the name of a living trust?

Yes, you can title a vehicle in the name of a living trust as long as the living trust bears the name of the eligible participant.

Can I title a vehicle under my business name?

Yes. The GM Supplier Discount program now allows eligible participants to title a vehicle in the name of their business.

Are my family members eligible for the vehicle discount?

Yes. Each time you purchase or lease a new GM vehicle under the GM Supplier Discount program, you can share your supplier discount with one friend or family member. See the "Share Your Discount" section below for more information.

Share Your Discount

Can I share the GM Supplier Discount with friends and family?

Yes. Each time you purchase or lease a new GM vehicle under the GM Supplier Discount program, you can share your supplier discount with one friend or family member. You can share pricing for up to one year from the date of your vehicle purchase. Once you obtain an authorization number, your friend or family member will have six months to use it.

Who is eligible to share supplier pricing with friends and family members?

Does my friend or family member have to take delivery by a specific date?

You have up to one year from the date of your vehicle purchase or lease to request an authorization number, and your friend or family member has six months from the authorization number's date of issue to take delivery of their vehicle and get the GM Supplier Discount price.

What information do I need from my friend or family member to request an authorization number for them?

You will need their date of birth and ZIP code.

How do I get an authorization number for my friend or family member?

You have two options: Go to the home page, enter your Company Code, log on and click on the "Share Your Discount" link from the left navigation bar. Request an authorization number for your friend or family member by entering their information and following the prompts. Or you can call us here at 1-800-960-3375.

What will my friend or family member need to take to the dealership, and do I have to go with them?

All they need is the special authorization number you acquired for them and their photo ID. You do not have to go to the dealership with them.

Can my friend or family member order a vehicle and still receive the GM Supplier Discount price?

Yes, if they take delivery of their vehicle on or before their authorization number expires, six months from its date of issue.

What if one of my friends or family members changes their mind? Can I cancel their authorization number and get a new one for someone else?

If an authorization number is in "Requested" status, it may be canceled. To cancel the authorization number, log on at the home page and select "Share Your Discount" from the left navigation bar, then select "Your Authorization History" and void the appropriate authorization number.

Will my friend or family member be able to get this special pricing on top of other GM offers?

This program is compatible with most other regionally advertised cash allowances or APRs. You'll need to check with your participating GM Dealer for details on specific offers.
